Summary Description:

The Network Development and Engagement Strategist will play a critical role in developing and executing strategies for affiliate recruitment, retention, and engagement. This position is responsible for handling the day-to-day activities of CLINIC’s network engagement processes, including affiliation recruitment and retention. They will regularly interact with affiliates and provide excellent customer service to ensure that CLINIC's support enhances their efforts to expand immigration legal services capacity.

Primary Responsibilities:

Field Engagement

  • Work with Associate Director of Network Engagement in developing and consistently applying policies and procedures regarding affiliate recruitment, onboarding, and engagement.
  • Process affiliation applications, renewals, inquiries regarding affiliation, and resignations.
  • Assist with creation of marketing materials and other resources that increase and enhance affiliate engagement efforts, including maintaining up to date information on the website, tutorials, and other resources about affiliate benefits and services.
  • Ensure accurate and up to date affiliate records through maintenance of affiliation database and other tracking tools to assist with organizational-wide strategies that help build deep relationships with affiliates.
  • Partner with Data and Impact Strategist to design and implement initiatives to analyze affiliate needs and enhance affiliate satisfaction.
  • Support successful field engagement activities and communication channels for robust and regular engagement, including partner and affiliate inquiries, meetings, cohort calls and peer to peer learning opportunities.
  • Identify potential affiliate groupings that would significantly benefit from targeted services and create tailored approaches to appeal to their needs and interests.
  • Analyze affiliate needs, benefits and utilization and proactively recommend adjustments or enhancements to engagement strategies or services being offered.
  • Maintain a broad knowledge and understanding of the highlights, challenges, and promising practices of CLINIC’s affiliates and partner legal service providers.

Project Management

  • Support capacity building projects of Network agencies seeking to increase availability of immigration legal services including project design, creation and updates (as needed) to standard operating procedures, opportunities for legal empowerment, immigrant inclusion and development of project evaluative processes.
  • Provide strategic forward-thinking on project and grant sustainability and expansion, as well as proposals for flowthrough disbursement to CLINIC’s network.
  • Conduct project-specific and other tasks, travel as needed.
  • Monitor and document project performance by affiliates, partners and sub-grantees of assigned projects and provide subject matter support as needed.
  • Provide the Director of Field Engagement with information needed for funding applications, Board of Directors, and management consumption, as requested, and for budgeting purposes.
  • Partner cross sectionally to ensure proper coordination of deliverables, service delivery and adequate support of funded partners.

External Relations

  • Represent CLINIC to other national and local organizations and attend virtual and in person meetings as assigned and required by grants.
  • Partner with CLINIC’s Communications team in promoting CLINIC’s Field Engagement work through the creation and updating (as needed) of CLINIC’s publications, resources, website, and social media.
  • Collaborate with CLINIC’s Advancement team on promoting CLINIC’s Field Engagement work through drafting of reports to funders and assisting in the development and maintenance of relationships with select donors and/or funders as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in management, social work/related discipline or equivalent experience required, graduate degree or equivalent experienced preferred.
  • 5 years of experience working in the immigration services field.
  • Demonstrated experience in association or non-profit setting achieving high quality customer service delivery, engaging with and supporting a large affiliation base, and demonstrated creative thinking about improving process and procedures around affiliation growth and retention.
  • Familiarity with general immigration laws and policies and deep understanding of immigration legal service needs of immigrant communities.
  • Familiarity with and/or willingness to learn the structure and stakeholders within the Catholic Church who are a part of the ecosystem of providing charitable immigration services.
  • Extraordinary interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others internally and externally with a high degree of professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Pro, and ability to quickly learn other programs or software that assists with job responsibilities.
  • High level of competence with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with CRM systems preferred.
  • Highly detail-oriented, strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent judgment and initiative.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well independently and on a team, showing respect for diverse constituencies.
