Information Technology Intern

Unpaid: Monthly Travel and Food Stipend

Position Summary

The Information Technology Internship program provides an opportunity for students interested in the field of information technology and Security.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IT intern to join our team. As an IT intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and knowledge in various  aspects of information technology and security. You’ll work closely with experienced IT professionals to contribute to our AFSP success.  

As an IT intern, your responsibilities will include:

Providing Technical Support:

• Assist with troubleshooting technical issues faced by users.

• Respond to inquiries and provide solutions promptly.

Network and System Administration:

• Help install, configure, and maintain network systems and devices.

• Monitor network performance and security.

Cybersecurity:

• Assist in implementing cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems.

Documenting Processes and Procedures:

• Create documentation for IT processes and procedures to ensure smooth operations.

Participating in Training and Professional Development:

• Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance your IT skills.

This program is for class credit with a monthly travel & food stipend. Flexible hours are available.

Eligibility Criteria

• Currently enrolled part-time or full-time undergraduate or graduate student.

• Availability for a minimum of 6 hours per week in the office.

Qualifications

• Excellent writing, communications, and interpersonal skills

• Excellent computer skills and demonstrated proficiency

• Interest or passion for working in the non-profit field.
