Mirror Stage seeks a Content Producer & Social Media Associate to join our team to create inspiring, informative, and engaging content across our digital platforms. As Content Producer & Social Media Associate, you’ll have the opportunity to share our story and programs, grow and engage our community, invite conversation, and showcase our brand in action. You will be broadly responsible for day-to-day content production across website, email, and social media channels in alignment with organizational goals and marketing campaign plans. This includes content planning and scheduling with our Marketing Lead, writing of and adapting content across multiple platforms, and interdepartmental communications and coordination.

The successful candidate will be a reliable, self-motivated, detail-oriented strategic and creative thinker with strong organization, communication, and time-management skills who has previous professional experience in conceptualizing, scheduling, designing, and writing website, social media, and email content that motivates. Although this is a mostly remote position, candidates must be based in the greater Seattle Metropolitan area. If you are not currently based in the Puget Sound region, you will not be considered.

COMPENSATION: $25/hr

HOURS: Part-time, 10-15 hours per week, Mon-Fri (occasional evening and weekend hours)

REPORTS TO: Managing Artistic Director and Marketing Lead

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•     In collaboration with our Marketing Lead, develop and implement a content strategy tied to organizational and campaign goals.

•     Research, plan, and build a content calendar in Asana project management tool.

•     Write, edit, and publish content for the Mirror Stage website, email marketing, social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube), advertising campaigns, and more.

•     In partnership with the team, expand opportunities and formats for content growth on existing and new channels tied to goals.

•     Adapt graphic design assets in Canva for digital content applications and respective channels.

•     Attend all staff and bi-monthly board meetings.

•     Submit bi-weekly reports documenting work completed & planned.

•     Attain technical competency in using Asana, Slack, and Zoom collaboration tools.

•     Participate in ongoing learning and professional training opportunities, as appropriate.

•     Maintain written office procedures manual for area of responsibility.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

•     At least two years of professional experience or educational equivalent in planning and writing for websites, social media, email, advertising, sales collateral, and other types of marketing communications.

•     Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) practices.

•     Reliable, dependable, organized self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills, impeccable attention to detail, and strong project management and research skills.

•     Ability to work independently, ask questions, and commit to an agreed-upon work schedule.

•     Passion for and dedication to Mirror Stage’s mission, vision, and values.

•     Ability to see, value, and adapt to cultural differences. Demonstrated and/or lived experience working with people of diverse ages, genders, sexualities, ethnicities, cultures, races, abilities, and socio-economic backgrounds, including those historically excluded by mainstream arts organizations.

•     Tech savvy with proficiency in Meta Business Suite, Canva, MailChimp, Metricool or equivalent, and WordPress. Comfortable working in a virtual office environment and with online collaboration tools, including Google Drive, Microsoft Office, Asana, Slack, and Zoom.

•     Must have access to reliable personal transportation, such as car or transit pass (for any in-person events or meetings).

•     Lived commitment to and investment in racial and social justice and anti-oppression analysis.
