Dudley Promise Corps (DPC) is a neighborhood-based AmeriCorps service program serving in one of BPE’s two Teaching Academies, Dearborn STEM Academy or Dudley Street School. DPC members provide students with the extra support needed to ensure their academic success and to prepare them to be leaders in Boston and beyond.

As a Dudley Promise Corps Member, you will,

  • Support students academically (training provided)
  • Increase the school’s capacity to provide a supportive school climate and culture 
  • Participate in professional development opportunities that support your own career exploration

Benefits. Beyond access to training and professional development, DPC members are eligible to receive the following benefits:

  • Education award upon successful completion of service year ($7,395 for the 2024-25 program year)
  • Health insurance coverage 
  • Living stipend paid bi-monthly ($20,000 pre-tax)
  • Access to AmeriCorps service member training through Massachusetts Service Alliance
  • Student loan forbearance (may be eligible)
  • Food Assistance/SNAP benefit eligibility 
  • Childcare assistance (if eligible)
  • Networking opportunities with community leaders

Eligibility

  • Be at least 17 years of age 
  • Hold a high school diploma or GED by the start of the program 
  • Be a US citizen or legal permanent resident 
  • Agree to state & federal background check
