Description

The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with a contract duration until September 30, 2026 due to the project duration. Employment location will be Bonn, Germany.

 

As Project Assistance Land for Life, you will support the transnational "Land for Life" programme. The programme is based in the Policy & External Relations Unit of Welthungerhilfe in Bonn and supports multi-stakeholder processes for inclusive land policies in four countries (Ethiopia, Burkina Faso, Liberia and Sierra Leone). You will have the opportunity to participate in the implementation of the project and gain a comprehensive insight into the cross-departmental and international project activities of one of Germany's largest humanitarian and development cooperation organizations.

 

Your responsibilities

 

  • Support the organization of thematic events and workshops at national and international level, including travel management.
  • Support communication activities, including managing and, where appropriate, creating content for the Land for Life website 
  • Monitor relevant topics (e.g. recording of relevant events and publications)
  • Support knowledge management on "Land Governance" and the Land for Life programme within Welthungerhilfe (e.g. by contributing to internal exchange formats)
  • Project management support (e.g. reporting and monitoring) 
  • Maintain archives and file management in Microsoft Teams 
  • Take minutes during meetings and events 
  • Other activities as required by the project

 

Your profile

 

  • Completed training, preferably in a field such as political, social, cultural, nutritional, agricultural, geographical, economic, communication sciences, or other relevant studies or professional experience.
  • At least 1-3 years of work experience in the above areas
  • Regional work experience in (one of) the four countries mentioned would be a great advantage
  • Joy of working in an intercultural environment and outgoing personality
  • A high level of organizational skills as well as a precise and reliable working style
  • Excellent spoken and written English and French
