POSITION SUMMARY
The Administrative Assistant reports directly to the Executive Assistant, providing a wide variety of administrative support for the office of the President and Executive Director. The Administrative Assistant is an organized, responsive, and resourceful professional who is passionate about ecoAmerica’s mission, a strong communicator and project manager (in a dynamic environment), and highly proficient with a range of professional workflow applications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Scheduling and Communications Support (60% of time)
Special Projects (30% of time)
Office Management Support (10% of time)
Qualifications, Knowledge, & Skills Required:
· College degree preferred and 1-2 years of related work experience. Fundraising experience a plus.
· Superior project management skills. Organized, detail-oriented, a proactive self-starter and problem-solver. Able to plan and execute details and manage multiple priorities to ensure accuracy and high-caliber, efficient implementation in a deadline-driven environment. Ability to work simultaneously with multiple staff in different time zones.
· Superior writing, communications, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. Outgoing and polished demeanor along with a strong professional presence. Ability to handle sensitive information with high discretion and reliability.
· Commitment to being physically in the DC office a minimum of 1 day per week.
· Understanding of and passion for ecoAmerica’s mission and climate/sustainability and commitment to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
· Proficiency with Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Google Suite, calendaring, online travel, and MacOS required. Experience with Salesforce and content management systems a plus.
ADA SPECIFICATIONS
This position is largely sedentary in nature however one must possess the ability to speak, hear, and write as well as the ability to use a computer and related software programs, and lift up to 20 lbs. Local and/or national travel periodically required.
