Overview:

The Appendix Cancer Pseudomyxoma Peritonei Research Foundation (ACPMP) seeks a full-time, proactive, detail-oriented Operations-Development Assistant to support core operational functions. This role involves providing administrative support and coordination for ACPMP’s programs and events including education, fundraising, and development duties for this small yet impactful non-profit.. As a crucial member of, our tight-knit team, you'll collaborate closely with the Operations Manager, Executive Director, and Board members to play a key role in contributing to the organization’s overall success. Responsibilities:

Administrative:

● Provide comprehensive administrative support to staff, board members, and programs.

● Manage office operations, including file organization in Google Docs, maintaining charity branding profiles, and updating state registrations.Generate timely acknowledgment letters and donor receipts, as well as maintaining accurate donor records in the CRM, resolving issues efficiently. 

Fundraising/Development:

● Coordinate and provide remote support for fundraising programs, campaigns, and events, including ACPMP- led initiatives (Annual Walk, Giving Tuesday, Online Auctions) and volunteer-driven events (Facebook Fundraisers, Golf Events, Cornhole Tournaments, etc.).

● Assist in developing and implementing new campaigns and events.

● Cultivate relationships with individual donors, foundations, and corporations, seeking opportunities for growth through donor and volunteer development.

● Undertake special projects as assigned.

Education/Awareness:

● Support education and awareness programs and events, such as awareness and educational series events (Zoom), Conference/Symposium planning and participation, and web content updates.

● Assist with August Appendix Cancer month campaigns and activities, including the Light-Up Campaign.

Database/CRM/Systems:

● Assist in managing, updating, and troubleshooting records in related systems and platforms, including the CRM, Classy Fundraising, and various Matching Donation vendors.

Qualifications:

● Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

● At least 2 years of experience in administrative support, fundraising and/or development, preferably in a nonprofit setting.

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

● Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

● Proficiency in Google Drive (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides) and/or Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, and fundraising software.

● Knowledge of fundraising and/or development best practices and techniques preferred.

● Ability to work independently and as part of a team

● Online QuickBooks is not required but experience may be beneficial.
