SUMMARY

UnidosUS seeks a Program Manager, Postsecondary Success to manage partnerships between UnidosUS and its postsecondary Affiliate sites and partners in efforts including programmatic implementation, deepening sector relationships, and supporting an innovative vision to broaden the reach of the UnidosUS postsecondary portfolio.

UnidosUS Education aims to close the educational opportunity gap for Latino students, leading to increased achievement rates and significantly more students on the pathway to sustaining jobs and careers. We do this by influencing systems to provide high-quality, culturally, and linguistically affirming educational opportunities at key milestones within a student’s experience.

The position is hybrid and will be based in Washington, DC or Los Angeles, CA.

Salary: $72,329 - $85,553 (salary differentials may apply outside of the Washington DC area.)

Essential Functions

Program Development and Implementation

  • Set programmatic goals that align to UnidosUS’s strategic goals by leveraging the organization’s competitive advantage in the postsecondary arena.
  • Implement and case manage a national portfolio of postsecondary success programs.
  • Collaborate with other members of UnidosUS Education team in providing guidance and technical assistance to program sites to strengthen program models, delivery, and outcomes.
  • Support and develop postsecondary curricula around strategic priorities including, but not limited to, culturally affirming postsecondary retention and completion strategies and diversified postsecondary and career pathways.
  • Develop, plan, and deliver effective training sessions to assist Affiliate sites and partners in launching and successfully implementing postsecondary programs at program sites.

Data Management and Evaluation

  • Work with UnidosUS staff, program Affiliates, partners, and evaluators to conduct formal program evaluation.
  • Collaborate with other members of UnidosUS Education team to identify data points, propose and create materials to define Knowledge Performance Indicators (KPIs), and disseminate practices and research to a national community of practice.
  • Evaluate current data to support program development.

External Relations

  • Prepare written internal and external reports, updates, materials, and other necessary communications.
  • Serve as a representative of the organization in various settings both internally and externally. This includes work to coordinate, develop, and participate in education forums that raise the visibility of UnidosUS in the education arena, including conferences, membership on relevant advisory committees, and publishing materials.
  • Support dissemination of postsecondary success programs information, announcements, materials, and tools.
  • Provide support in resource development and funding activities, including contributing to the preparation of funder proposals and reports.

Qualifications & Requirements 

Education and Experience 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in education-related field.
  • Experience working with postsecondary students and in program development.
  • Experience working with people of diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated experience with and knowledge of the Latino community.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education, counseling, special education, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a community-based organization or national nonprofit intermediary.
  • Familiarity with the U.S. Latino community and Latino nonprofit organizations.
  • Fluency in Spanish.
