Description

This position:

● Is responsible for the overall financial management of the association, including grant funded programs, investments, earned income, and other association accounts, using generally accepted accounting procedures and in accordance with Uniformed Guidance.

● Oversees all necessary financial functions, including payroll, accounts payable and receivable, financial record keeping, and reporting. 

● Collaborates with association directors in cost allocation, budget development, monitoring, and modification.

● Recommends improvements in cost effectiveness or efficiency regarding purchasing, billing, or other financial processes as a member of the leadership team.

● Reports to the Executive Director.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field plus four years of appropriate experience, or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred.  Experience in a not-for-profit environment is preferred. Knowledge of and experience with appropriate computer hardware and software, such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office/Excel, and Quickbooks, demonstrated communication and organizational skills as well as being detail oriented are required.

Ability to:

● Multi-task and prioritize in a busy environment.  

● Effectively develop and maintain positive working relationships with directors, auditors, and funders.

● Provide education, training, and guidance to management staff regarding financial matters.

● Accurately and effectively interpret funders’ guidelines, and assist in their understanding and implementation.

● Accept supervision and effectively coordinate all aspects of job functions.

The selected candidate for this role must understand  and agree with the YWCA mission. Employment conditional upon Act 34 Child Abuse clearance and criminal records clearance (State Police and FBI). Completion of  required trainings will be ongoing.

The pay range for this position is generally $55,000 - $65,000 annually.  Actual pay will be based on various factors including but not limited to the successful candidate’s experience, skills, and knowledge.  Additional benefits are also available.
