Description

The Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) is a Washington, DC-based think tank that helps policymakers work across the aisle to craft bipartisan solutions. By connecting lawmakers, delivering data and context, negotiating policy details, and creating space for bipartisan collaboration, BPC ensures democracy can function on behalf of all Americans. We believe that bipartisanship combines the best ideas of both parties to create even better, lasting policy.


Provide executive-level support at a dynamic and influential advocacy organization driving bipartisan solutions to our nation's challenges. 


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages complex, quickly changing calendars for BPC Action’s President and Executive Director
  • Provides executive administrative support for various activities, events, and meetings
  • Handles external contracts and invoices, as well as internal expense reporting and reimbursements
  • Coordinates scheduling of internal and external team meetings
  • Assists with Board of Directors meetings including logistics, schedule coordination, and meeting materials
  • Maintain BPC Action record-keeping
  • Undertakes special projects as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must demonstrate discretion, initiative, and follow-through, as well as being detail-oriented and level-headed
  • Ability to prioritize and anticipate needs in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated and resourceful with a demonstrated ability to make sound judgments with minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain composure and diplomacy in a dynamic environment with a wide spectrum of political viewpoints
  • Previous experience assisting a senior level executive or other administrative assistant experience a plus

Work Schedule

The work/life balance of employees is a priority for the Bipartisan Policy Center. As a result, BPC is currently operating on a hybrid schedule. Employees at BPC are currently coming into the office three times a week. Exact time and schedules will be determined between an employee and their manager.
