POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Manager of Individual Giving works with the Senior Director of Philanthropy to strengthen NCOA’s individual giving program to advance NCOA’s mission and grow unrestricted revenue from new and existing donors through multi-channel fundraising. The Senior Manager of Individual Giving will join a small frontline fundraising team and collaborate with Advancement Department colleagues to develop, manage, and implement annual giving strategies including seasonal and monthly campaigns, direct mail, social and paid media, email marketing, and other direct response efforts. Essential to this role is the development and implementation of donor stewardship initiatives and a sustained giving program, and embedding best practices in stewardship, retention, and advancement in our fundraising work.
This position is highly collaborative, manages work across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment and requires keen project management skills, strong presentation and interpersonal skills, and adaptability to pivot between strategic thinking and tactical implementation. The Senior Manager of Individual Giving works to improve key performance metrics with Advancement Team members to increase engagement and donor conversion through multiple channels, e.g., direct mail, email marketing, social and paid media, and other promising platforms.
Positions at this level typically report to a senior director and require advanced knowledge and experience as well as management capabilities. Incumbents are required to make independent judgements within their scope of work and require minimal oversight. Incumbents generally have eight or more years of experience in their discipline and a bachelor’s degree or the equivalent, as well as substantive and demonstrative experience at this level. Graduate level degrees may be considered in lieu of experience.
