Positions Overview: As the Development Assistant at UCFS, you will play a vital role in supporting the fundraising and development efforts of our organization. Your responsibilities will encompass various tasks related to donor relations, fundraising campaigns, event coordination, and administrative support. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual who is passionate about contributing to a more equitable community for all.


Responsibilities:

·      Donor Relations Support:

o   Accurately record and track incoming donations into our database, maintaining up-to-date records of donor contributions.

o   Conduct mail merges to create and mail acknowledgement letters and thank you cards for donor

contributions

o   Assist in running development reports and analyzing data such as donor and campaign evaluations.


·      Grant Writing

o   Research and identify potential grant opportunities

o   Assist Grants Manager with writing small to medium sized grants.

o   Assist Grants Manager in analyzing programmatic data for grant reports

o   Assist Grants Manager with preparing grant reports.


·      Manage Google Ads

o   Create Google ad campaigns

o   Analyze and evaluate Google ad campaign performance and adjust as needed


·      Event Planning

o   Assist Events Coordinator with administrative tasks related to fundraising events

o   Assist Events Coordinator with set-up, tear-down, and day-of coordination of events

o   Assist Events Coordinator with planning Women’s Business Institute Networking events


·      Fundraising

o   Collaborate with the development team to plan, execute, and evaluate fundraising campaigns to

achieve our financial goals

o   Assist with the development and coordination of online fundraising campaigns and mailings

o   Assist with annual membership drive

o   Assist with development and launch of monthly donor club


·      Content creation

o   Assist with content creation for social media

o   Assist with video and graphics creation for outreach efforts, grant applications, events, etc. (i.e. promo videos, program overview lobby video, etc.)

o   Assist with creating promotional materials (i.e. post cards, one-pagers, annual reports, etc.)


·      Other duties as assigned:

o   All UCFS staff assist with occasional administrative and programmatic activities as assigned.

o   Administrative tasks as it relates to development activities may be assigned as needed.


Qualifications:

·      Bachelor’s degree in Non-profit Management, Marketing, Communications or other related field

·      1-2 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, and/or non-profit administration

·      Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.  A writing sample may be requested during the vetting process.

·      Strong organizational skills with follow through, detail orientation, and ability to meet deadlines.

·      Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously


Preferred Skills/Experience:

·      Experience using Salesforce database

·      Experience using Canva

·      Proficiency in Excel

·      Knowledge of fundraising principles and techniques.

·      Familiarity and experience with social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.

·      Grant writing experience and familiarity with grant management and reporting.

·      Multi-lingual skills, specifically Arabic, Aramaic, or Spanish

Details:

·      Full-time position (40 hours/week)

·      M-F 9-5 with flexibility as needed

·      In-person at office in Troy, MI with occasional remote workas needed
