About SIPCW: SIPCW seeks to create a healthier Staten Island by bringing together partner organizations and community members to address pressing wellness needs and give all Staten Islanders a chance to live their best lives. The focus of our efforts is in communities and populations with the greatest health inequities, such as BIPOC and LGBTQ+ identifying. SIPCW works to promote wellness and improve the health of the Staten Island community through ongoing collaboration and a multidisciplinary approach. Improving community health is a collaborative effort, and SIPCW leverages trusted relationships with community leaders and partner organizations to build coalitions that address Staten Island’s public health issues. SIPCW has extensive expertise in convening diverse community stakeholders, utilizing data to drive decision-making, and identifying evidence-based strategies to collectively approach complex health issues for the most at-risk communities on Staten Island.

General Summary: SIPCW seeks a Data & Evaluation Coordinator to support data analyst efforts for the various programs/grants. The day-to-day responsibilities for this role will span data collection, analysis, and reporting, with a focus on qualitative data and participatory research. This role will be a part-time role (0.50 FTEs). The role will be a hybrid work schedule, with roughly half the work being done remotely and half the work in-person at the office and/or in the field.

Responsibilities:

  •  Assist in the design and development of evaluation instruments
  • Conduct in-person data collection, analysis, and reporting of processes and outcomes
  • Share process and outcome data with partners and stakeholders through reports and meetings on an ongoing basis
  • Conduct literature reviews on evidence-based practices
  • Conduct community needs assessments
  • Work with SIPCW staff and partner organizations to plan, coordinate, and provide periodic progress reports regarding the project’s data work
  • Participate in development/grant writing

Qualifications:

  • Experience with quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
  •  Analytical mindset that can delve deep into metrics and data to find the narrative behind the numbers, and ability to express complex statistical information into language accessible to policymakers, press, and public audiences
  • Proficiency in Excel and statistical software packages (including SPSS or SAS), preferred
  • Experience in conducting literature reviews to identify evidence-based practices
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders on a collaborative project
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines, adjust to changes in priorities, and balance short-term needs with long-term strategic initiatives
  • Ability to multitask across multiple projects with ability to prioritize as necessary
  • Ability to be self-directed and work independently to meet deadlines
  • Willingness to be a hands-on team player where no task is too small
  • Passion for public health, education, and youth agency

This is a part-time position; about 20-25 hours a week

Annual FT Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000 

Annual PT Salary Range: $25,000 - $28,000
