Position Summary:

Donor Development Services (DDS) is an integral part of UJA-Federation of New York’s fundraising efforts, specifically focused on high-end donor engagement, customized relationship-building, cash collection, matching gifts, employee giving and more.

 

We’re looking for a proactive, motivated, self-starter to provide essential administrative support and quality control. We need a team player who can multi-task, trouble shoot and think big picture. If you’re great at letter writing, have the attention to detail needed for gift processing and overall quality control, and like to assist your team in other ways, this is a great fit for you.

 

 Major Responsibilities:

  • Produce accurate, customized acknowledgement letters by consulting with fundraising staff and comprehensive review of database, donor files and company websites.
  • Draft and finalize Honoree and Chair letters.
  • Support and manage procedures involved with acknowledgement process.
  • Provide weekly reports on the status of cash campaign.
  • Coordinate cash email mass mailings and track result.
  • Manage Major Donor deceased accounts.
  • Works with the acknowledgements spreadsheets: creates and adds information as necessary.
  • Various projects as assigned.
  • Maintain filing system.

 

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required with administrative experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
  • Detail-oriented and effective time manager.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with fundraising databases.
  • Team player and proactive work ethic.
  • Flexibility and ability to prioritize and multitask in a demanding work environment.

 

The salary range for this role is $45,000 to $46,000; commensurate with experience and qualifications listed above.
