Position Summary

Interested in working in a high-impact, mission-oriented organization? UJA-Federation of New York is looking for a motivated and talented Project Manager to support the initiatives of its new Growth Department. If you thrive in a cross-functional environment collaborating with multiple teams and have a proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects or initiatives from conception to completion, this position could be a perfect fit.

Primary responsibilities include planning, executing, and monitoring projects to meet defined requirements while controlling budget, scope, and timeline. The ideal candidate will also have experience coordinating with multiple stakeholder teams to ensure deliverables are being met on time and providing visibility to leadership teams on progress of business-critical projects. Sound judgment, ability to influence, analytical talent, exceptional communications, and leadership are essential to success in this role.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage deadlines, details, collaboration, and communication around Growth department projects, including: research and evaluation projects; marketing operations projects; data and analytics projects; and production of UJA dashboards
  • Develop and refine project plans that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects from requirements definition through deployment, within budget, timeline, and quality standards
  • Set schedules, targets, and deadlines for milestones and coordinate the timeline by which a project's tasks or deliverables are met
  • Oversee multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project deadlines
  • Identify and manage project dependencies, adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needed
  • Analyze project status and, when necessary, propose the revision of scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met
  • Identify potential risks, obstacles, and threats to project timelines and escalate concerns to appropriate stakeholders
  • Adjust schedules and targets on projects when business needs change
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams to drive project success
  • Coordinate and facilitate communication across project teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and visibility
  • Serve as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
  • Communicate proactively and frequently with leadership to keep projects aligned with goals
  • Use project management software to streamline workflow and enhance project visibility
  • Possess significant experience in PM software, with the ability to set up and optimize tools

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field
  • Ability to articulate project requirements and priorities effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and to thrive in a dynamic and cross-functional environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to engage and work with key stakeholders across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to proactively identify next steps and thread together different pieces of a project to ensure cooperation and successful completion of work   
  • Strong organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
  • Proficiency in one or more project management software tools
  • Familiarity with one or more project management methodologies preferred
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification preferred

 

Salary Information:

The salary range for this role is $100,000 to $105,000; commensurate with experience and qualifications listed above.
