Overview
The Institutional Giving Manager, reporting to the Director of Development, will create and maintain a language bank that articulately describes SRA’s work and the need for giving, framed in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. This repository will be continually augmented with data and updates on trends to craft compelling arguments for supporting SRA. The manager will also independently plan, write, and submit compelling letters of inquiry, grant proposals, and sponsorship requests, employing high-quality stewardship and relationship-building strategies.
SRA is currently working remotely with opportunities to meet in person with adherence to SRA’s In-person Meeting policies. Candidates should live in the Bay Area or be willing to travel at their own expense for in-person meetings. SRA does not employ staff who live outside of the state of California.

The annual salary for this role is $87,000. Students Rising Above (SRA) offers competitive base salaries based on the midpoint of the market among not-for-profit organizations of similar size, with opportunities for salary growth over time. SRA takes internal and external pay equity and pay parity seriously and compensates staff members fairly in relation to each other and similar roles in similar sized organizations. Given this deep commitment to equity, SRA does not negotiate salary offers.
SRA also offers medical, dental and vision benefits after 60 days of employment. We cover 75% of the cost for employees and 50% for dependents. Additionally, SRA offers access to virtual mental health counseling via TalkSpace, 11 paid holidays, a professional development stipend, a flexible vacation policy, self care days, paid sick time, a 403b plan and monthly technology stipends.
