Regional Finance Director

Job Description:

The Regional Finance Director for Yes on 4 is responsible for running point on all of

the finance programs in their particular region to fund the campaign to pass a

constitutional amendment protecting the right to abortion in the state of Florida.

The Regional Finance Director will work with the campaign’s Finance Director to

prospect, establish relationships with and solicit donors within the region to raise the

funds necessary to support the campaign.

Key Responsibilities:

● Identify, cultivate and maintain relationships with donors throughout Central

Florida.

● Serve as the main point of contact for all donors in the region, meeting with

small to midsize donors one-on-one and establishing a plan for outreach to

grassroots donors.

● Prospecting major donors (above $50,000) in your region and making the

proper connections within the campaign team for solicitations and follow ups.

● Provide any necessary follow ups to asks, pledges and contributions, including

ensuring timely receipt of thank yous.

● Provide any written materials, pitch decks, prospectuses and presentations

needed to bring in donors.

● Work with other members of the finance team to plan and execute regional

fundraising events. The format of these events could vary widely depending

on the hosts, capacity, venue, etc. and will amount to 2-3 events per month.

● Contribute to a team atmosphere that ensures other finance team members

have what they need in order to be successful.

● Contribute to a developed, strategic Finance Plan by achieving goals and

reaching milestones in designated timelines.

● Maintain regular communication with the Finance Director and finance team

on the status of the Finance Plan.

● Other tasks as assigned by the Finance Director.

Qualifications:

● Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Affairs, Business Administration,

or a related field / or equivalent experience.

● Minimum of 3 years of experience of political or non-profit fundraising with a

proven track record of success.

● Proven experience in campaign fundraising, solicitation and staff

management. Statewide or national experience is a plus.

● Strong understanding of reproductive rights and familiarity with the

Reproductive Justice movement is highly preferred.

● Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively

communicating with a diverse team as well as a variety of donors..

● Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with a focus on

comfortability in asking for money and chasing pledges.

● Familiarity with fundraising software and tools, including ActBlue, donor

databases, email marketing platforms, and event management software,

including Every Action is a plus.

● Detail-oriented, with exceptional organizational and project management

skills.

● Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing

campaign needs.

● Knowledge of Florida's political landscape and experience working on ballot

campaigns or with local organizations is an asset.

Compensation:

● Salary of $7,000 per month.

● A health insurance stipend will be provided.

● Technology and travel stipends will be provided as needed.

Additional Requirements:

● This is a full-time position. The position is based in Central Florida and is

remote, with a preference for an Orlando-based person.

● The Regional Finance Director will report to the Finance Director.

● Travel will be required for events throughout the state.

● Must be able to work on nights and weekends as needed.

● Must be able to hold this position through November 30th, 2024.
