Our humanitarian foods travel across the globe and are distributed primarily through UNICEF, the World Food Programme, and USAID. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as the Sustainability Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sustainability project initiation, evaluation, measurement and reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Act as the sustainability point of contact, helping define Edesia’s ESG strategy, reviewing all decisions and reports related to sustainability and building/expansion, for upstream and downstream partners.
  • Produce materiality assessments by capturing all Edesia stakeholder expectations.
  • Evaluate the efforts on construction projects and by all teams to make sure Edesia is making wise decisions with building and expansion efforts.
  • Facilitate internal awareness of ESG with all staff to improve sustainability culture.
  • Collaborate with members of other departments and levels within the organization to help promote sustainability initiatives.
  • Coordinate and facilitate sustainability projects and initiatives in all phases of execution to meet the objectives set forth by the company.
  • Develop and present reports on sustainability project performance levels and challenges to management and external parties.
  • Present proposals for sustainability projects with factors such as cost effectiveness, technical feasibility, and integration with other initiatives.
  • Forge relationships with suppliers and other stakeholders and leverage these relationships towards conducting successful sustainability projects.
  • On-going data collection, reporting and submission of ESG-related reports.
  • Proactive research and understanding of current and emerging ESG trends and their applicability to Edesia.
  • Partner and remain in regular communication with the sustainability lead at the PlumpyField Network level.
