Job Description:

The Constituency Organizing Manager for the Yes on 4  is responsible for implementing statewide grassroots organizing programs focused on Black and Latino voters. designed to support the campaign's goal of passing a constitutional amendment protecting the right to abortion in the state of Florida. The Constituency Organizing Manager will work with the campaign’s Organizing Director to oversee and coordinate a team of paid community fellows, volunteers, and supporters to mobilize communities, raise awareness, and foster public support for the campaign in Florida’s Black and Latino Communities. .

Key Responsibilities:

Grassroots Mobilization:

  • Implement strategic plans with coalition partners, particularly those focused on Black and Latino voter outreach, to achieve campaign objectives, including meeting metrics goals for community events, voter contact, and public education.
  • Organize and lead community events, rallies, community meetings, and other public gatherings to raise awareness about the campaign's mission 
  • Build relationships with partner organizations, advocacy groups, and community leaders focused on youth engagement to maximize collective impact.
  • Meet campaign metrics for organizing efforts and volunteer engagement.

Coalition Management:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with partner organizations who serve Black and Latino Floridians.
  • Collaborating with coalition members in Florida’s organizing spaces to develop joint strategies, coordinate actions, and leverage collective resources.
  • Facilitating regular communication and coordination among coalition members dedicated to Black and Latino voting efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in grassroots organizing, with a focus on constituency and/or coalition  organizing.
  • Strong understanding of reproductive rights and familiarity with the Reproductive Justice movement is highly preferred.
  • Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively managing a diverse team of volunteers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including public speaking, campaign messaging, and report writing.
  • Proficient in utilizing organizing and communication software, including CRM systems, digital organizing tools, and social media platforms.
  • Detail-oriented, with exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing campaign needs.
  • Knowledge of Florida's political landscape.

Compensation:

  • Salary of $5,000 per month
  • A health insurance stipend will be provided. 
  • Technology and travel stipends will be provided as needed. 

Additional Requirements:

  • This is a full-time position. The position is based in Florida and is remote, within the state. 
  • Must have personal transportation and be able to travel around Florida as needed.
  • Must be able to work on nights and weekends as needed.
  • Must be able to hold this position through November 30th, 2024.
