Summary: 350 Wisconsin Action is a 501(c)4 issue advocacy organization created in 2022 that works to change hearts and minds, laws and policies, and humanity’s massive systems to make transformational progress toward environmental justice and solving the climate crisis by 2030. 350 Wisconsin Action is committed to climate justice, the transition to clean, renewable energy, stopping oil pipelines in Wisconsin and surrounding states, and pushing financial institutions to divest from fossil fuel-related companies. We are eager to hire someone to help lead that work.
350 WI Action was established by 350 Wisconsin, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has been engaged in the fight against climate change since 2012.
We are looking for someone who can work with the 350 Wisconsin Action’s Board, Political Action Team, and Executive Director to strategically plan and implement both electoral work and building 350 Wisconsin Action; engage and train volunteers and staff in the political process both as activists and as future candidates; and help with fundraising. Organizing experience is required, as is a commitment to building the power of people to make a difference in combating climate change. Strong candidates will also bring experience in political data management and targeting, organizing principles, DEIJ (diversity, equity, inclusion and justice), and short-and long-term planning. Strong candidates will also have an understanding of Wisconsin communities and politics. The overarching goal is to effectively build new bases of permanent climate leadership and support throughout Wisconsin.
This is an opportunity to help build and lead a major climate-advocacy and justice effort in the state from the ground up. The requirements and description of the role are below, but first and foremost we want someone excited about doing this work and about working with us to advance climate justice, climate policies, and climate champions in government.

The position requires travel within Wisconsin for organizing meetings, events, political activities, trainings, 1-1s, and other functions.
Hours are flexible. Some evening and weekend work will be required.
Physical Demands:
Occasional physical demands include setting up for events, working on mailings, tabling at outreach events and filing. This would require the ability to carry 25 lbs.; lift files; use hands to fold, stuff, seal, and stamp envelopes; and bend or stand as necessary. The physical demands also include driving.
