ABOUT OUR SUMMER PROGRAM

The Carroll Center welcomes students ages 7 to 21, who are blind or visually impaired with the possibility of additional disabilities, to participate in a variety of summer youth programs that empower them to develop socially, academically, and independently.

POSITION SUMMARY

Schedule, plan, and oversee all on-campus and off-campus student activities and foster a positive experience for the students. Activities may include: sports, exercise, dance, music, crafts, cooking, trivia and more!

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following areas preferred: physical education, recreational therapy, special education, or counseling. Ideal for teachers looking for summer employment. 
  • Must be 21 or older, 23 or older preferred (in order to provide transportation for students in one of our vans). 
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Experience working with teens and/or individuals with disabilities is a plus.
  • Experience with a variety of recreational activities is preferred.
  • Priority will be given to individuals who can work the entire duration of the summer program.
