The mission of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation is to honor the sacrifice of firefighter
Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001. We also
honor our military and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life
and limb for our country.
The Foundation seeks a high-level Director of Internal Affairs to work alongside the VP
of Internal Affairs and the EVP’s teams on various projects across multiple departments
and to manage a broad range of high-level responsibilities. Job duties will include project
management, facilitating different workflows, grant/funding proposals and reporting, as
well as a variety of additional interdepartmental matters. An ideal candidate will be
dedicated to the mission of the Foundation, have a varied and wide range skill set,
produce excellent work product, and possess the highest level of ethical standards and
professionalism.
Duties and responsibilities
- Work under the guidance of the VP of Internal Affairs and alongside the Executive Vice
- President’s Team, to manage a broad range of high-level responsibilities and various
- projects.
- Responsibilities will be diverse across multiple departments involving different subject
- areas.
- Manage various projects and workflows.
- Responsibilities may include, but not be limited to, project management, drafting content for various reports and spreadsheets, acting as representative of the Foundation for meetings or phone calls, working on special events, troubleshoot, research.
- Help prepare funding and grant proposals from start to finish, as well as grant reports and tracking current grants.
- Extensive collaboration with multiple Foundation departments on a daily basis.
- Handle a heavy volume of internal requests; including answering inquiries, resolving problems, and making appropriate referrals.
- Responsible for keeping and tracking project deadlines.
Qualifications
- Must possess a minimum 5-7 years of general business experience.
- Must be flexible and have the ability to problem solve.
- Excellent communication skills and extremely well-written.
- Strong writing skills to be able to draft high level content for a variety of purposes.
- Expertise in PowerPoint, Excel and Word required.
- Must be able to multitask, prioritize, and handle high pressure situations and deadlines
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management and other staff, as well as external affiliates and vendors.
- Must possess and maintain high ethical standards.
- Must be extremely organized, diligent, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
- Ability to manage tasks to completion, while meeting all deadlines.
