Overview

Emerson Collective blends philanthropy and targeted investments to generate and sustain groundbreaking initiatives. Our partners range from artists to scientists, educators to technologists across the United States and around the world. We have a community of change-makers, diverse and disparate in backgrounds with a core belief that we should not accept the world as it is.

The Opportunity

Emerson Collective’s work on climate migration seeks to promote a global consensus to address climate migration while building policy solutions and legal strategies that prioritize and engage affected communities.

At Emerson Collective we support systems that ensure migration is safe, legal, and orderly.  As

anthropogenic climate change continues to transform the world we live in, the need to elevate the reality of climate change as an accelerant to mobility has grown ever more pronounced. Our work in climate migration recognizes that the climate crisis acts as an accelerant to migration and necessitates strategic, coordinated, and interconnected responses, both within the migration policy landscape as well as within global climate policy.
