Description

The Museum Tour Guide at the Museum of Bronx History, belonging to The Bronx County Historical Society, is a part-time hourly position, subject to renewal upon satisfactory initial probationary period (4 months) and then in 12-month periods thereafter.

As Museum Tour Guide, you will be responsible for providing guided tours, according to the script and training provided by BCHS, of the Museum of Bronx History, a national landmark historic house museum that hosts exhibits on Bronx history. The Museum is open 10am–4pm on Saturdays and 1–5pm on Sundays, so candidates must be willing and able to work weekends. You will also be responsible in this role for maintaining visitor and sales logs, generating electronic sales receipts, light indoor and outdoor cleaning and maintenance (when no visitors are present), and other related duties.
