Description

Part-Time Director of Development for Healing Hoofbeats of CT

Healing Hoofbeats of CT was established in 2016 and is now located in Bethlehem, CT on 7.5 beautiful acres. It is our mission to foster connection and support empowerment through equine and animal-supported psychotherapy. We are an organization embedded in the community, helping its members heal from various life situations. It is our philosophy that everything that happens in our lives happens in the context of relationship; and therefore it is through healthy, balanced relationships that we heal. Healing Hoofbeats of CT provides a safe and healing space for clients to develop and enhance mutually beneficial relationships where they partner with our two- and four-legged healing partners. Therapists work with clients to help facilitate these positive relationship skills and process difficult experiences from the past in order to help clients feel empowered and live the life they deserve.

Healing Hoofbeats of CT provides individual, group and family therapy from a relational and experiential equine-supported psychotherapy model called Natural Lifemanship. Groups can include, but are not limited to, adolescent/youth empowerment, social skills development, nature-based exploration, parent support, anxiety, and depression.
