12:31 is a needs-based ministry that exists to relationally partner with the Lake Travis Community to provide proactive and response-oriented practical services. Our services range from disaster relief, to providing financial support in response to life’s tragedies, to combating food insecurity and housing issues (inadequacy, insecurity, and instability), to providing for basic human needs and necessities.

Our goal is to serve people in a way that truly sees them as fellow community members and individuals. By building relationships in our community and with those we serve, we are able to provide for others in a way that honors them and is meaningful and impactful to them.


Purpose

In order to expand our reach, and multiply our impact, we desire to add a highly motivated individual with a passion for serving others to our team, to serve as the main point of contact responsible for all fundraising activities of the organization.


Job Description

The Director of Development will be responsible for the identification and cultivation of potential donors, alongside meaningful stewardship and continued engagement of existing donors through the use of professional development practices, high ethical standards, devotion to mission, and relationship building in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and execute 12:31’s annual fundraising plan
  • Identification and cultivation of potential donors 
  • Secure financial support from individuals, foundations, and corporations
  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with major donors
  • Oversee and conduct donor stewardship with our existing donor database, communicating directly and regularly with donors and foundations in partnership with the Financial Director and Executive Director
  • Develop proposals and reports for all foundation and corporate fundraising
  • Analyze donor and donation data as needed to assess success of development campaigns and progress toward organizational fundraising goals
  • Track donations and fundraising goals and prepare detailed monthly fundraising reports to the Board and Executive Director
  • Support, coordinate with, and collaborate with the fundraising efforts of the Executive Director
  • Oversee planning, facilitation, and execution of special fundraising events


General

  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Responsible for fundraising for overhead and needs of position
  • Work within budget to ensure that outreach initiatives and development events are fiscally responsible.


Qualifications

  • College degree in nonprofit management, marketing, public affairs, business administration or a related field is preferred
  • In lieu of a college degree, 3-5 years of appropriate fundraising experience with a proven track record of success in areas such as major gifts, corporate and foundation giving is acceptable
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and time management skills
  • Experience with building and maintaining relationships with private foundations, corporations, and other high-value donors is a plus
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate the organization’s mission, core beliefs, and shared values in order to secure funding from diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to manage numerous initiatives to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality outputs
  • Experience with CRM software and donor databases 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Evening and weekend work required as needed.
