Description

Reporting to the Director of Development Operations, the Individual Giving Officer will be a critical member of the Health Equity International/St. Boniface Hospital (HEI/SBH) development team and the organization as a whole. This position is a new role at HEI. It is a unique opportunity for a mid-career fundraising professional to make an impact on HEI’s individual giving program. This collaborative role will build and strengthen HEI’s donor and partner relationships, work to increase our mid-level donor base ($1,000-$9,999), and enhance the major giving pipeline. This role will work closely with the Director of Development Operations and the Director of Communications to create and implement a donor-centric stewardship program. This role will also understand the basic principles of planned giving and be able to apply them to their donor strategies.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess a solid foundation in fundraising best practices and the donor engagement cycle. They will be able to hit the ground running, offering strategic input around individual giving, proactively contribute to the continued purposeful building of an individual giving program, and work collaboratively with the other development and communications team members, program team, senior leadership team, hospital staff, and the board of directors, as well as donors and partners. This candidate has experience, both independently and as part of a team, soliciting five-figure+ gifts and stewarding new and existing donors, all of which will be an expected part of this position.

This position is full-time, non-exempt, and benefits-eligible.

This is a hybrid position, and the individual in this role must be able to travel to Newton, MA, on Mondays and Thursdays. Parking is free and the office is within walking distance of the Newton Centre Green Line T station (D line).
