Description

About Open Paths Counseling Center:

At Open Paths, our vision is to eliminate the three primary barriers faced by Angelenos with historically marginalized identities when they seek mental health support - lack of finances, lack of geographical access, and - most importantly - lack of cultural understanding. Therapists at Open Paths work with clients who struggle with mild to moderate mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship issues, stress caused by living within oppressive systems, intimate partners abuse, as well as other mental health concerns. Our clients come to us through our partnerships with a variety of community-based organizations and school districts, as well as self-referrals.

Open Paths is also a clinical training agency, where the next generation of diverse, compassionate, trauma-informed therapists will carry our decolonizing lens with them into their careers for decades to come. We offer pre-licensed therapists focused supervision groups. Past groups include supervision focussing on the needs of Latino/a/x clients (provided in Spanish), Black clients, LGBTQ/QTPOC clients, clients who have survived IPAV, and others. Pre-licensed therapists also have an opportunity to receive free EMDR training, so that we can offer EMDR to our clients, when indicated.

We have an exciting opportunity for a bilingual (Spanish/English) licensed therapist who is rooted in community mental health and shares our vision. If this is you, you are encouraged to apply!
