In 2020, Brooklyn Historical Society (BHS) merged with Brooklyn Public Library (BPL) to create the Center for Brooklyn History (CBH). The Center for Brooklyn History’s education department connects students, educators, and archivists in New York City and beyond to our unique archives, collections, events, and experiences to bring the history of Brooklyn to life.
The Manager of Education supports a small team of educators who bring CBH’s archive to life through programs for 4th-12th grade students and their teachers. Our four primary programs are:
The Manager of Education is responsible for devising and tracking departmental budgets in partnership with BPL’s finance department, as well as working closely with BPL’s development team to ensure consistent funding. They are also responsible for strategic planning in collaboration with the CBH Director.

This is a non-union, exempt position with a hybrid schedule. The salary range is $80,000 - $84,000.
