Description

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER - JOB DESCRIPTION

April 11, 2024

The Orlando Youth Alliance (OYA) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization which provides a safe space for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning (LGBTQ+) youth to gather, talk about issues and concerns that are important in their lives, as well as meet other gay youth. OYA is a peer-based youth group with members ranging from the ages of 13 to 23. First formed in 1990 as a support group to assist at-risk gay, lesbian, bi-sexual and transgender youth under the moniker “Delta Youth Alliance,” the group has expanded to offer weekly social, educational and recreational activities to further help our youth to develop a core group of friends and peer supporters.  In addition to the support group and activities, OYA provides LGBT History & Cultural classes, scholarships, career exploration and mental health referrals. Numerous professionals have spoken to our youth about their careers and the options that await them.  Developing this nucleus of friends is the key to never feeling alone. To advance this mission, we are seeking a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), to replace our retiring CEO.
