The ICCT is looking for a highly dedicated and motivated Communications Specialist to join the organization’s China communication team. You will contribute to ICCT’s outreach work for China programs and support capacity building among our strategic partners. This position will be based in the Beijing office. You will report to the China Communications and Public Relations Manager.


You Will:


  • Develop and implement communication channel policies.
  • Plan and write high-quality articles for the WeChat channel.
  • Transform professional research findings into insightful WeChat articles, ensuring accuracy and professionalism.
  • Write and edit various promotional materials, preparing relevant written content for conferences and events.
  • Proofread Chinese content to ensure quality.
  • Plan and implement outreach activities for various research projects, including the creation of diverse outreach products such as videos, infographics, article series, data visualization, brochures, and media activities.
  • Design and organize various capacity-building activities, both online and offline.
  • Develop training materials and courseware, ensuring quality and practicality.
  • Plan and execute conferences or activities according to project requirements.
  • Conduct analysis of the effectiveness of outreach events, utilizing professional tools and methods for data collection, organization, and evaluation.
  • Establish evaluation indicators based on activity goals, comprehensively evaluating and analyzing effectiveness to provide a basis for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain partnerships with various organizations and establish effective communication channels.
  • Manage external collaboration projects, including monitoring progress and tracking project completion.
  • Regularly communicate with the central team under the guidance of the Communications Manager to ensure consistency in brand and strategies.

 


You Have:

 

  • Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in fields such as journalism, public relations, environmental science, or transportation engineering.
  • Knowledge of environmental science and a certain level of expertise in pollution control and emission reduction in the transportation sector is required.
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience with proven practical experience in communication planning and content production.
  • Strong communication strategy planning skills, capable of independently planning and executing various outreach activities.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, capable of accurately capturing key messages.
  • Familiarity with various communication channels and media platforms, with the ability to expand media cooperation and evaluate outreach effectiveness.
  • Good communication and coordination skills, capable of establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with various partners, and working effectively with colleagues and stakeholders from different cultures and backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational abilities, capable of efficiently planning and executing various activities and projects.
  • Proficiency in using various office software and good data analysis skills.
  • Able to use English as a working language and possess excellent writing skills in Chinese, as well as the ability to translate from English to Chinese.


Our Benefits


This is a full-time (40 hours/week) position based in ICCT’s Beijing office with an annual salary of ¥358,600. We offer an excellent benefits package, including health insurance, paid vacation, hybrid/remote flexibilities, transportation subsidies, and other benefits.
