Job Description:

Join our dynamic team as we seek a talented fundraising professional to champion our vital mission of eliminating bias, bigotry, and racism. As the Development Director, you'll lead

the charge in propelling our fundraising endeavors forward during this thrilling period of transition at The Diversity Center. Collaborating closely with our President & CEO and the Fund Committee of the Board of Directors, you'll spearhead and execute fundraising initiatives, driving us toward greater impact and success.

Responsibilities:

  

Act as liaison with the Fund Development committee and staff, ensuring fulfillment of fund development roles and facilitating optimal interaction between management and volunteers.

· Create and implement an overall development plan identifying multiple funding sources, including foundation grants, corporate sponsorships, board giving, planned giving, and other revenue streams.

Provide general oversight of all fund development activities, manage day-to-day operations, and monitor activity adequacy through coordination with staff, board fund committee and sub-committees, and the governing body.·        

Collaborate with the Special Event Director in planning and executing special events, overseeing sponsorships solicitation for events like the Annual Humanitarian Award Celebration and the Annual Walk, Rock, Roll & Run.

· Oversee grant management, including calendar preparation, grant submission and reporting, and prospect research.

· Develop major gifts and planned giving programs with the Fund Development Committee under the leadership of the President & CEO.

· Cultivate ongoing relationships with major donors and board members, managing timelines for fundraising activities.

· Identify and develop prospects for fundraising priorities within corporate, community, and individual spheres.

· Administer the donor database, ensuring donor stewardship and coordinating in-kind donations.

Qualifications:

Passion for the mission of The Diversity Center.

5+ years of nonprofit development experience.

BA required.

Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, and communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of donor database systems.  We are currently using Little Green Light.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
