Summary: Provide administrative and fundraising support to the Development Department, Chief Development Officer, and Director of Corporate Partnerships. Ability to handle a portfolio of funders, organize multiple assignments, execute on fundraising strategies, problem solve, and work efficiently with a fast-paced fund development team.  This role is hybrid, with 3 days remote and 2 days in our New York City office.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Fundraising support to include: 

  • Serve as the fundraising point of contact for a portfolio of Cause Related Marketing donors. 
  • Prepare for meetings with potential corporate funders by creating in-depth research profiles and prospect identification materials.  
  • Respond to external donor inquiries and correspondence by email, mail, and phone in a timely manner. 
  • Collaborate with donors and staff to plan marketing and communications deliverables such as social media, digital content, and other partnership parameters.  
  • Assist in implementing a moves management system for donors.
  • Accept additional responsibilities to support the effective functioning of the Development Department and the achievement of annual revenue goals.  

Departmental support to include:  

  • Update and monitor donor accounts in the CRM system, log meetings and process gifts received online, by mail, and by phone.  
  • Work collaboratively with the Development and Finance departments to track donations on a daily and monthly basis, ensuring fundraising revenue and fund designations reconcile. Prepare ongoing revenue reports. 


Requirements

  Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree; or 4 years of relevant work experience
  • A minimum of one year of frontline fundraising experience in a non-profit setting and/or a revenue-generating role in a corporate setting
  • Excellent computer skills, including G Suite 
  • Knowledge of Salesforce or a similar CRM database preferred  
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to analyze data  
  • Self-starter with extraordinary organizational skills  
  • Ability to prioritize and manage projects independently  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to host virtual donor meetings and compose correspondence and documents  
  • Ability to work evening hours on occasion  
  • Must be able to appreciate, embrace, and advance diversity and have experience  working with multicultural populations
