Summary:

Works collaboratively with other behavioral health and medical providers and trainees in related therapeutic/patient care activities. The Behavioral Health Department Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) provides counseling therapy, crisis intervention, and case management services in a community health center's integrated primary care setting. The LMHC cares for the needs of the specific patient population and provides appropriate direct patient care through assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of particular conditions. The LMHC may also serve as part of a consulting team with constant and effective communication with management and direct care staff regarding clinical policies and procedures.

Major responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Director of Medical and Behavioral Health Services to improve and assure clinical quality at all health center sites,
• Provide in-service training and education for staff,
• Participate in clinical group supervision, all staff meetings, and BH Leadership Meetings;
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy for a half-time caseload;
• Maintain productivity;
• In concert with the Clinical Director and Director of Operations, complete chart reviews on time and accurately.
• Participate in BH quality initiatives
• Demonstrate understanding and commitment to the health center's mission.
• Demonstrates understanding and commitment to the established CHC Values and Standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Support and collaborate with the BH internship supervisor, including providing individual and group supervision as well as participating in the didactic seminar for interns weekly;

Minimum QualificaMaster's

• Massachusetts LICSW or LMHC is required
• Experience in a behavioral health setting
• Proficient in reading and writing in English
• Ability to work both independently and in a team
• Bilingual a plus
