About the Role

TEP is founded on the belief that talented people – teachers, social workers, and support staff – make all the difference in student achievement. TEP also believes that providing comprehensive support and enrichment opportunities for students is critical to developing their skills and nurturing their interests.

The Talent Acquisition & Programs Specialist is a dynamic role; dedicated to hiring the highest level of talent by supporting the organization’s growing Talent Acquisition operations for all open teacher and non-instructional staff positions, and managing TEP’s break-time enrichment programming for students.

This is an amazing opportunity for an individual who is seeking an intense, fun, on-the-ground learning experience that touches various aspects of urban education, including talent acquisition, student enrichment programming, and school operations.

  • Manage TEP's applicant tracking system and online recruiting platforms (job board), as well as the job descriptions, initial screening and interview process for non-instructional candidates within the recruitment process.

Building Candidate Pipeline

  • Cultivate and expand TEP’s candidate referral pipeline from existing teachers and staff, recognizing referrals as a primary avenue for attracting strong-fit, exceptional, qualified candidates.
  • Curate engaging content for TEP's social media, focusing on both organizational initiatives (including Talent and Student Recruitment).

Leading Student Enrichment Programs

  • Lead TEP’s student enrichment programs by partnering with organizations that run enrichment camps for students during TEP’s 3-week Fall break and 3-week Winter break; responsible for coordinating all promotion, registration and logistics for enrichment camps
  • Execute special projects relating to initiatives that extend from Talent Acquisition and/or TEP’s student enrichment programs; these projects grow in scope as the individual develops organizational knowledge
