Associate Marketing Manager

JOB OVERVIEW

Responsible for planning and implementation of the organization’s marketing activities which include end-to-end (ideation through execution) advertising, e-blasts, event promotion, collateral, social media, and analytics. Collaborates with programming, fundraising, administrative support, and specialized consultants.

Candidates for this position must possess excellent writing, organizational, and analytic skills and thrive in an environment where individuals take initiative to drive organizational success. Experience working at an advertising agency or in marketing for a hospitality or events-driven company is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES

● Understand key audiences in order to develop effective ongoing communications with these groups.

● Work with the CEO and cross-functional team to plan overall marketing strategy for the events, months, and year ahead.

● Enforce Playhouse's brand and style guidelines in digital and print materials.

● Prepare high quality, effective and consistent collateral and ads with clear and compelling messaging.

● Write and edit copy for website messaging and email communication.

● Manage social media presence, moderate all messages and community interactions online.

● Take photos at events as needed; hire and manage third-party photographers on a project basis both for special events and general inventory. Manage photo inventory and select photographs for marketing purposes.

● Write and produce newsletters. Source contributions across the organization and write/edit all content.

● Collaborate with PR/Communications consultant on earned media opportunities.

● Collaborate with the Development department to prepare fundraising collateral. Assist with creating invitations and event-related materials.

● Analyze and present data analytics on marketing tactics performance and present recommendations to adjust strategy in support of marketing and communications plan.

QUALIFICATIONS

● Bachelor's Degree (required) with 2+ years of professional experience in marketing and communications.

● Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite and G-Suite

● Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Canva, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. (Knowledge of Premiere Pro is a plus.)

● Ability to self-direct and prioritize among competing goals and to initiate process improvements.

● Flexibility and willingness to contribute when necessary on projects outside of your own department.

● Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.

● A professional and resourceful style; the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects at a time, but also be a team player who will productively engage with others at varying levels of seniority within and outside the Playhouse.

Position Details

● Full time

● Salary: $50,000 to $60,000 depending on experience.
