Promotional Copywriter

About This Role

The Promotional Copywriter is responsible for stewarding the voice of Proverbs 31 Ministries to effectively communicate the brand's message, engage the target audience, and drive consumer action. This role is responsible for creating compelling and engaging copy for various mediums that drives brand awareness and increase sales while meeting our readers and consumers right where they are. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Craft clear, catchy and memorable copy in the Proverbs 31 Ministries tone of voice that resonates with the target audience and persuades people to investigate and take action across all mediums. 
• Create promotional content strategies that align with brand objectives and drive optimal results.
• Examine competitors to determine strengths and weaknesses and create content that differentiates the brand.
• Collaborate with design, marketing, social media, theology, and other ministry stakeholders to create integrated, effective and engaging marketing promotional campaigns and materials. 
• Provide editing support to ensure copy is error free and adheres to brand guidelines.
• Use SEO techniques to improve search engine rankings and optimize content for organic search. 
• Monitor and analyze metrics such as engagement and conversation rates, and assist the Marketing Director in adjusting promotional strategies accordingly.
• Plan and facilitate various meetings that are essential to the implementation of promotional marketing campaigns coordinating with project managers and departments. Ensure effective follow-up on assignments post meeting.
• Review market demographics along with broad industry trends, developments, and reader and customer behavior patterns to create impactful messaging.
• Analyze the brand’s target demographic exploring factors such as age, interests and preferences to tailor messaging.
• Other duties: Including, but not limited to, co-hosting podcasts, Instagram live events, contributing to study guides, participating in events, etc. as requested.

Skills, Experience & Abilities

• Personal belief in the mission of Proverbs 31 Ministries.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field with 2 years of experience in content creation, copywriting, and digital marketing.
• Proven track record in creating compelling and persuasive marketing copy that drives engagement and sales with the ability to adjust style based on platform, target audience, tone and messaging aligned to campaign goals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Good understanding of marketing practices and SEO principles and tactics.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects at the same time.
• High level of adaptability, creativity, imagination, initiative, and enthusiasm.
• Willing to accept and implement correction/constructive criticism.
• Advanced project management skills and knowledge of Google Drive.
• Ability to work well as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
• Demonstrates a proactive approach and possesses the capacity to guide both themselves and team members effectively.
