violence that empower and assist those in need through a comprehensive approach
to advocacy and resource management.
Job Summary
We are looking
for a motivated and meticulous Domestic Violence Advocate with the additional
duties as an Administrative and Operations Assistant. The successful candidate
will work directly with survivors on help line and in the Ellsworth Resource
Center while working closely with the Deputy Executive Director, Executive
Director, and Finance Management team, to enhance daily operations and manage
administrative tasks at our Ellsworth office.
Key
Responsibilities:
·
Provide advocacy face to face
and though our helpline following the
guidelines of the Core Advocacy Training.
·
Assist survivors in finding
resources, safety planning, and connecting them with internal programming.
·
Provide general administrative
support to the Deputy ED, ED, and Finance team.
·
Facilitate smooth
implementation of administration and operations processes as needed.
·
Assist with vendor relations
and communications.
·
Manage supply orders and
coordinate general maintenance for Ellsworth & Machias properties.
·
Coordinate travel for staff and
survivors.
·
Handle direct service requests,
manage donations, database entries, and express gratitude to donors.
·
Coordinate daily incoming and
outgoing mail.
·
Participate in community
engagement events through community activities and fundraising.
Additional
Duties
·
Participate in organizational
activities, monthly staff meetings, volunteer training, and office management.
·
Review goals and objectives
regularly with supervisor.
Required
Skills and Experience
·
Proven experience in
administrative assistance and data entry.
·
Comfortable and skilled using
different software programs and databases.
·
Complete NS hotline training
with ongoing participation in professional development.
·
Sensitivity to issues of
domestic and sexual violence.
·
Excellent written and verbal
communication skills.
·
Highly organized.

Requirements
·
Valid driver’s license with
reliable transportation.
·
Must pass required background
checks by government agencies.
