Under the direction of the administrator, this position is responsible for performing bookkeeping and accounting duties including but not limited to, financial record keeping and transactions, including accounts payable, receivable and general ledger.
Candidate will have advanced experience with Quickbooks, experience working in the nonprofit setting, an outgoing and friendly personality, demonstrated professionalism and a focus on accuracy. In addition, the incumbent will have responsibility for transferring financial transaction data from Shulcloud, our on line accounts receivable member interface, into Quickbooks.
Responsibilities include:
Qualifications:
• Advanced proficiency in Quickbooks;
• Nonprofit experience, including familiarity with use of restricted funds & accounts;
• Familiarity with Jewish holidays and lifecycle events a plus;
• three to five years bookkeeping experience;
• Additional proficiency in Windows operating systems and with Microsoft Office, Excel, Google Docs;
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; ability to manage priorities and workflow.
Hours: 2-4 hours/week. (Specific office hours TBD)
Compensation: $45/hour (depending on experience)
