About the Role 

As the Chapter Outreach Coordinator, you will play an integral role in the success of the Nevada chapter's programs, events, and fundraising initiatives. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will assist in developing, executing, and facilitating the chapter's education and community outreach activities. This includes conceptualizing, planning, and managing events from start to finish to ensure a smoothly run and impactful experience for attendees. Additionally, you will assist in coordinating the chapter's fundraising campaigns, utilizing your skills in volunteer management, budgeting, reporting and relationship-building with donors and community partners. Through your efforts, you will help raise awareness, engage the bleeding disorders community, and secure critical resources to further the chapter's mission.  

Key Responsibilities 

Programming 

  • Collaborate in the creation of goals for programs and assessment tools to monitor goal achievement. 
  • Coordinate community outreach events, serving as a point person for consumers and constituent database, 
  • Maintain a strong relationship with the local Hemophilia Treatment Center clinical team. 
  • Coordinate & execute Chapter's consumer assistance programs. 

Fundraising 

  • Support fundraising event registration including donors, vendors, sponsors, and participants. 
  • Recruitment, screening and coordination of volunteers. 
  • Assist in budget preparation and monitoring for fundraising events. 
  • Manage and track revenues/expenditures relative to fundraising events. 
  • Build relationships with key vendors for the implementation of fundraising events. 
  • Assisting fundraising event communications (e.g. save the dates, marketing materials, registrations, follow-ups, etc.) 
  • Support in the creation of goals for fundraising events and assessment tools. 

Admin/Operational  

  • Assist with chapter communications (newsletters, social media, website, etc.) 
  • Follow up with industry requests and reports 
  • Answer and respond to inquiries, ensuring appropriate communication. 
  • Assist the Nevada Chapter Executive Director with additional duties as needed. 

What You Bring: 

To qualify for this unique opportunity, our ideal candidate should have the following experience and education: 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business, or related fields or equivalent experience. 
  • 1-3 years within non-profit fundraising or outreach activities. 
  • Outstanding written communication and presentation skills. 
  • Strong experience preparing reports. 
  • Strong knowledge of social media and other basic marketing platforms. 
  • Detail-orientated with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time. 
  • Demonstrate ability to manage events as per the schedule. 
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks. 
  • Ability to connect with the Bleeding Disorder community, and into the greater Nevada community to build awareness about bleeding disorders.  
  • Excellent networking and interpersonal skills.

Ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources, to achieve project objectives.  
  • Teamwork & Collaboration - Able to develop and utilize collaborative relationships to build informal or formal teams and accomplish team goals

Where You Will Work: 

This position is a remote and open to candidates willing to relocate or are located in the state of Nevada. Candidates should be comfortable working remotely with a team dispersed across the country. This role requires regular travel, typically 6-8 a year for chapter events outside the local area, often requiring overnight or weekend attendance.   

Compensation: 

We have carefully considered industry benchmarks, the experience required for this position, and internal salary comparisons to determine the appropriate salary range for this role. For this position, NBDF has set a starting base salary range $39,000-$45,000 and it is non-negotiable due to our company's commitment to maintaining internal pay equity. This approach ensures that we maintain a fair and consistent compensation structure across the organization.
