Job Description:

RootSpring seeks a part-time Program Manager, fluent in English and Japanese, to oversee the coordination and administration of our Japan-based programs. This role is designed for an individual who can balance strategic oversight with efficient program management. The Program Manager will report to the Director of Japan Programs and work collaboratively to implement RootSpring's initiatives, focusing on creating impactful and enriching experiences for our participants. This position requires a proactive and adaptable leader who can manage diverse tasks, from logistics to stakeholder engagement, within a flexible framework that accommodates part-time hours. The role has the potential to become a full time position. 

Key Responsibilities:

Program Coordination

  • Oversee the planning and execution of RootSpring's programs, ensuring they align with our mission and meet participants' needs, within a scope suitable for part-time management.
  • Facilitate logistical arrangements for program participants, focusing on essential support for a successful experience.

Participant Support

  • Provide targeted assistance to participants, helping them navigate their initial adjustment period and connect with local resources.
  • Build and maintain relationships with partners and stakeholders to enhance program value and participant engagement on a manageable scale.

Administrative and Strategic Tasks

  • Handle program-related administrative duties, including budget oversight and participant management, tailored to the part-time nature of the role.
  • Contribute to program strategy and development discussions, offering insights and ideas that fit within a part-time commitment framework.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage tasks efficiently.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, capable of adjusting to the needs of a part-time role while maintaining program quality.
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity, with a passion for supporting global leadership development.

  • Must have proficiency in English and Japanese.

  • Compensation: hourly, DOE
