THE OPPORTUNITY

Grameen America is at a pivotal moment as an organization, positioning itself to create breakout scale and impact in low-income communities across the United States. The Senior Associate of Development Operations and Research will work closely with the development team to support the organization’s fundraising efforts to advance its core strategic goals. Reporting to the Senior Director of Development, the Senior Associate of Development Operations and Research will support the development team in reaching its bold fundraising goals through research, database management and overall team operations.

Key responsibilities include:

Operations and CRM Database Management (45%)

  • Develop, refine, and produce key reports and dashboards for timely tracking and to monitor KPIs and critical deadlines. 
  • Track incoming donations and acknowledgment process in collaboration with development and finance teams.
  • Collect and analyze data from past fundraising efforts, identifying trends and patterns to support recommendations for improving fundraising.
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations for the Development Team for internal and external use, including board meetings, internal strategy, and headquarters meetings.
  • Track and manage development related website updates. 

Donor Prospect Research and Stewardship (40%)

  • Research and develop new data insights, including relationship mapping and giving capacities, for current and prospective donor and partners.
  • Provide in-depth donor and prospect research—including briefings and profiles for cultivation and solicitation—in support of fundraising activities and strategic priorities.
  • Utilize subscription-based research tools and other resources to locate, analyze, and seek aligned potential donors.
  • Prepare donor acknowledgements and correspondence as needed to properly steward donors.

Other Duties As Assigned (15%)

  • Perform other duties to assist the Development team and organization as assigned, including event support, grant writing, reporting or other donor communications.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in fundraising or relevant sector, with 1-3 years of demonstrated experience.
  • Experience with Salesforce or equivalent software (Salesforce preferred)
  • Familiarity with prospect research sources (iWave preferred), techniques, and tools.
  • Strong writing, communication, and analytic skills
  • Must be detail-oriented and well-organized.
  • High level of professionalism and discretion with confidential materials
  • Knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel (advanced knowledge a plus)
  • Passion for Grameen America’s mission and vision

Travel: 

  • Attend quarterly staff meetings in New York City required. Travel and lodging at employee expense. 
  • Position is currently remote but may be subject to a hybrid schedule in the future.
