commitment to the mission to uplift youth, transform our educational environment, and create a

positive future that serves all, especially the historically under-resourced populations.

Scope of work will be defined with the successful candidate, and may include:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support the organization's
  • mission and goals.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, sponsors, and partners to secure
  • financial support.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing donors, providing regular updates on
  • program outcomes and impact.
  • Plan and execute fundraising events, including donor appreciation events, community
  • outreach initiatives, and online campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to develop and execute a
  • long-term sustainability plan.
  • Develop and maintain a donor database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of all
  • donor interactions and contributions.
  • Prepare regular reports on fundraising activities, financial progress, and program outcomes for the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
  • Stay informed about current trends and best practices in fundraising and non-profit management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Non-Profit Management, Fundraising, Communications) or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in fundraising, grant writing, and donor relations, preferably within the
  • non-profit sector.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals and effectively engage with donors.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet
  • deadlines.
  • Knowledge of mindfulness meditation practices and their benefits, particularly in relation to
  • inner-city teens, is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using fundraising software and donor management systems, ideally with
  • NeonCRM.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Passion for the organization's mission and a genuine interest in supporting inner-city teens.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as required for fundraising events and donor
  • meetings.
