POSITION: Associate Director of Institutional Advancement

Literacy Partners strengthens families through a two-generation approach to education. With our free classes, community-based workshops, and educational media, low-income parents develop the literacy and language skills they need to succeed in today’s world. Our research-based curriculum also incorporates child development and parenting support to help parents boost their children’s early reading, school readiness, and social-emotional growth.
The Position: The Associate Director of Institutional Advancement is in charge of institutional revenue streams (foundations, corporations, and government entities), leading strategy development, managing institutional relationships, and overseeing execution. Primarily focused on foundation fundraising, this position works in partnership with the Executive Directors of our programs to source new leads and make meaningful connections, and executes cultivation and stewardship strategies.
The Associate Director of Institutional Advancement will also work closely with the Chief External Affairs Officer on expanding our city, state, and federal government contracts, and work with team members to build a robust corporate giving portfolio. This position ensures grant compliance and timely preparation of invoices and reports to funders.
Reporting to the Chief External Affairs Officer, the Associate Director of Institutional Advancement is a member of the Development-Marketing-Communications department and will join our diverse, social justice-oriented team of almost 30 staff and more than 100 interns and volunteers.
