JOB SUMMARY
The Public Allies Pittsburgh Program Team consists of three Program Managers and the Public Allies Program Director, who work collaboratively to lead and manage the Public Allies programs. The Program Team works under the direction of the Executive Director to manage and implement a leadership development program for young adults (Allies) aged 18-30, in partnership with up to 30 government and non-profit agencies.
In a collaborative, team focused environment, the Program Director is primarily responsible for recruiting young adult leaders from diverse backgrounds to participate in our program; engaging local community organizations and government agencies in Pittsburgh to partner with Public Allies; developing and implementing rigorous leadership development programs; and managing the Program Team. In addition to these responsibilities, the Program Director sets program vision and works toward overarching goals in collaboration with the Program Managers.
This position is in-person and will work in the Pittsburgh, PA area.

The position is predominantly sedentary requiring the ability to sit, bend, stand and walk. It may require occasional stooping, reaching, stair-climbing and repetitive motions of the hands and wrist related to writing and typing at an electronic keyboard. It rarely requires kneeling, pushing/pulling, and repetitive motions of the feet.
Physical demands of the position necessitate hearing, talking, handling, and grasping regularly. Specific vision conditions include close vision reading. It requires the ability to operate a computer, telephone, fax, copy machine and adding machine or calculator.
The position is generally performed in an office environment. The noise level is generally low to quiet. The work environment characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position. The annual salary for this role is $69,000.00.
