The Lawyer Referral Service (LRS) is a public service program of the Alameda County Bar Association that is dedicated to providing access to quality legal assistance for Alameda County and East Bay residents. The Intake Coordinator is a part time non-exempt position that is the primary point of contact between clients seeking attorney services and the attorneys offering legal services. The position is a 20 hours per week at $25/hour. Scheduling is flexible but we ask that the successful candidate be available to work at least two to three weekday mornings per week. The Intake Coordinator fields a high volume of inquiries from the public, conducting intakes (identifying legal issues), and providing information about other legal services agencies. The position also assists Legal Access (a non-profit affiliated legal aid organization) by scheduling clients in legal clinics and conducting client intakes.

The Work Environment:
This is primarily a remote position. However, initial and follow-up training will take place in-person in our downtown Oakland office. There will be regularly scheduled in-person meetings and times when we all work in-person as a team.
