Description

This person works directly with youth in services, teaching new skills and helping Youth who exhibit challenging behaviors by providing support using a mentoring type of setting when the time is appropriate. This person assists youth in services in completing routines including bathing, toileting, and dressing and is responsible for documenting in youth specific programs, behavior charts, and log notes. This person is responsible for supervising the youth in services, ensuring a clean safe environment, and participating in community teaching and recreation activities. This position includes case management responsibilities in a direct care worker form for at least one youth to multiple youth at one time. This person writes treatment plans and incident reports and is responsible for developing, implementing, and assessing skill and behavior programs. In the position you will be working with youth in services that are neurodiversity/with disabilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Uphold the mission, values, policies and procedures of Roundup Fellowship.
  • Supervise residents at home and in community settings ensuring their safety.
  • Assist residents to complete daily routines and programs. This includes hands on assistance with toileting, changing diapers, dressing, showering/bathing, toothbrushing, and other personal care tasks.
  • Intervene in behavior management as indicated in individual crisis intervention and behavior modification programs.
  • Perform case management responsibilities for at least one client including writing treatment plans, quarterly reports and crisis interventions, developing programs to meet treatment plan goals, coordinating resources, and ensuring proper program documentation in all file systems.
  • Maintain frequent and professional communication with supervisors, family members, schools, therapists, and other professionals or significant others.
  • Complete appropriate documentation including log notes, communication notes, and incident reports.
  • Perform basic cleaning duties to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Participate in meetings and training as scheduled or requested by supervisor.
  • Administer medication as prescribed following proper procedures.
  • Participate in the organizations CQI process.
  • Provide feedback to the management team when there are concerns about policies and procedures potentially re-traumatizing clients.
  • Responsible for supporting and maintaining a physically and psychologically safe environment.
  • Uphold principles of the trauma informed principles of Roundup Fellowship.
  • Participate in training and events that specifically address the intersection of trauma with culture, history, race, gender, location, and language.
  • Recognize the impact of vicarious trauma on the workforce and continually assess in supervision signs and symptoms of vicarious trauma as well as self-care plans.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
