Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of New York State OMH documentation requirements/NYC DOHMH reporting/documentation requirements. 
  • Understanding of Mental Health Outpatient Treatment and Rehabilitative Services (MHOTHs) Program regulations
  • Alignment with agency standard of ethics, conduct and organization policies.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to accomplish client goals and adapt to changing program environment.
  • Good communication skills, self-starter with ability to work independently and to interact with all levels of staff, both internally and externally.
  • SIFI Field Instructor Certified with Field Supervisory experience with Social Work and/or LMHC interns.
  • Must be able to establish priorities and a course of action for handling multiple tasks.
  • Ability to satisfactorily perform other duties upon request by the Director of Behavioral Health Services.
  • Knowledge and ability to provide brief techniques, such as crisis intervention and solution-focused approaches.
  • Ability to provide long-term approaches when treating chronic mental health disorders or disabilities.
  • Rotation of the after-hours crisis management phone for nights and weekend. 


Essential Functions 

  • In collaboration with senior clinic leadership maintain the clinic as audit-ready for all regulatory bodies; inclusive of review of corrective action plans for monthly internal audits.
  • Take an active lead in all agency clinical staff and interdisciplinary team meetings
  • Participate in all in-service trainings and continued ongoing education 
  • Representation at meetings with regulatory agencies in regard to clinical services 
  • Provide supervision to clinical staff, both individual and group, with supervision notes
  • Review staff documentation to make sure that it is person-centered and evidence-based, meets all billing requirements
  • Participate in monthly Incident Review Committee 
  • Review internal monthly audit and prepare responses for compliance committee
  • Provide staff with training in regard to corrective action plans for monthly and agency audits
  • Demonstrate leadership and oversee crisis situations within the clinic
  • Keep the Director informed of progress, issues, crises, incidents, and problems to be addressed. 
  • Work with clinical staff to help achieve service requirement expectations; up to and including disciplinary action
  • Function as a member of the clinic’s senior leadership team
  • Participation in program development
  • Use time efficiently and be well-organized
  • Responsible for clinical services provided at the Center for Resiliency and Wellness Community-Based Services
  • Build relationships with community partners 
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the senior leadership team
  • Running and maintaining documentation of weekly staff meeting 
  • Develop a referral network of relationships and MOUs   for medical and psychiatric conditions
  • Work with the Office Manager to oversee and manage intakes and discharges 
  • Provide other clinical and/or administrative duties as requested by the Director


Qualifications

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), LMSW, LMHC plus four (4) years of clinical experience, 2 years of supervisor experience preferred. 
  • Knowledge of co-occurring evidenced-based treatment methodologies and modalities
  • Knowledge of Federal, State and local documentation requirements to include but not limited to collaborative documentation, treatment planning, progress notes, assessments/screenings.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in NYC social, legal, and correctional service systems and programs. 
  • Good communication skills, self-starter with the ability to work independently and to interact with all levels of staff, both internally and externally. 
  • Familiarity with a range of therapeutic interventions: play therapy, family therapy, trauma-informed care, CBT, DBT, ACT, and psychodynamic approaches to treatment.
