We believe that the state of our world is a reflection of our individual and collective states of mind, so we focus on improving mental health and empowering young people to be the change they want to see in the world. Our core offering is the Rebels for Peace, a youth-led initiative in South Side Chicago that's fostering leadership in 18-25 year-olds and delivering Social Emotional Learning classes in elementary schools with over 700 youth. Working closely with the leadership team and dynamic team of youth leaders and facilitators, you'll have the opportunity to scale our Social Emotional Learning (SEL) program in schools, and help support and foster the next generation of youth leaders. This role is ideal for a driven and passionate individual with roots in Chicago and a deep commitment to mental health, youth empowerment, educational equity and community change.

  • Steward an existing database of donors, sponsors, and partners, and create a communication plan to regularly communicate with donors and staff via email, phone, or social media.
  • Overseeing private and governmental pipelines, as well as grant management to ensure that (a) accurate, timely financial statements are prepared per grant requirements; and (b) grant applications reports and thank-you notes are prepared and submitted on a timely basis.

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, with a master's degree preferred.
  • Operational leadership experience, including financial management, program development, and team supervision.
  • Fundraising experience in a nonprofit or similar setting, with a proven track record of securing funding through donations, grants and/or corporate sponsorships.
  • Experience with using CRM systems, databases and project management tools.
