About Us

OUR MISSION: to inspire learning and strengthen our community by removing barriers to education.

WE BELIEVE: Education allows each person to gain power and create opportunities. It impacts every aspect of our lives, as it is the means by which we develop as individuals and come to understand our world.

With an open door, Education Matters welcomes adults seeking to re-engage with education into the following programs:

·        Bridge Program- Providing mentoring and support to nontraditional and/or first-generation college students to ensure access and success, and creating a pathway to career training for students seeking family-sustaining employment.

·        Education Forward- Our unique approach to the GED helps students not only acquire their degree, but also prepares them for the workforce or for college. This program is offered on our Lower Price Hill campus as well as at an East Price Hill location.

·        English Connection (ESOL)- Adults from 25 countries around the world currently attend classes in our Lower Price Hill location to acquire English speaking and writing skills and engage with the community.
